Laurent Duvernay-Tardif : an inspiring role model for youth
Laurent, a professional football player and McGill University medical graduate, embodies perseverance and determination. Committed to the idea that every small gesture counts when it comes to helping young people be successful, he created the LDT Foundation in 2017, which encourages a balance between sport, the arts, and academics – key elements for development and educational success.
Kevin Raphael : an inspiring ally for Laval youth
Laval native Kevin Raphael is much more than a well-known comedian and host; he is a source of inspiration for young people. With is contagious energy, authenticity, and unique journey, Kevin perfectly embodies the values of Hooked on School Days for Laval youth.
Kevin has worked with youth for years, especially through his philanthropic efforts and sports-related projects. He highlights the importance of believing in your dreams, of persevering to overcome challenges, and of the key impact of teachers and of meaningful encounters in a student’s educational journey.
As the spokesperson for HSD in Laval, he hopes to galvanize the community around supporting the educational success of all youth by encouraging them to persevere in their educational and personal projects. Kevin Raphael’s words and engagement are an invitation to celebrate our collective efforts and to keep working to support future generations.
