The school perseverance ribbon
Symbol of HSD
An initiative of CREVALE (Comité régional pour la valorisation de l’éducation), the green-and-white ribbon has been the Québec-wide symbol of school perseverance since 2010. It expresses respect for and commitment to school perseverance.
Green symbolizes youth and hope. It represents the young people who need our recognition and support every day in order to persevere.
White, a blend of all the other colours, is a metaphor for the community in which young people grow up.
The two ribbons, crossed, depict the bond that unites them. The loop represents the infinite, the promise of a better future.
Wearing the school perseverance ribbon expresses your commitment to support young people in their efforts to succeed at school.
