Have a Heart Activity

– Monday, Feb. 16 to Thursday, Feb. 19 This is an Indigenous Awareness Day activity usually held on February 14th. This will be our 3rd year participating as a school in order to ensure that we are promoting initiatives towards Education for Reconciliation. We will have a Valentine card/letter that students can colour (or they can make their own) and sign their names to. We will make these available in the library as well as in the CLC “Home base" all week. This is in order to ensure we get as much participation as possible. We will collect finished cards in the library. We will mail all the cards/Valentines to the Prime Minister's office to help support the rights of Indigenous children to receive proper Healthcare and Education. This is an initiative from the First Nations Child and Family Caring Society (https://fncaringsociety.com/). For every card/letter a student makes, their name will go in to win a prize that will be drawn on Feb.20.
